Trip Lead: Tom Greenup, Jonathan Samm, and Dave Mosnik

Participants: 10

Dates:  May 15, 2023

Location: Loveland, CO

Details: Here is a unique opportunity to fish exclusive ranch water in the foothills of Northern Colorado. We have teamed up with Sylvan Dale Ranch and Rocky Mountain Angling Club (RMAC) to provide this epic day trip.

Twelve Veterans and 3 trip leads will meet at the RMAC parking lot at 8:00 a.m. and make a short drive west to Sylvan Dale Ranch.

This will be a float tube outing on a small lake for rainbow and brown trout ranging from 18″ to 20″. Extra tubes will be available if needed. Fly rods only. 5&6 weight rods will work with intermediate or floating lines. Fly selections should be a variety of small streamers like wooly buggers, thin mints, pine squirrel leach, nymphs like pats rubber legs, prince nymphs, hares ears, midges should all work.

The weather could be cold so good waders are a must. Participants will be responsible for their own lunch.
