Celebrating women in the military.
Red Feather Lakes, CO
One-day trip. Meet at North College King Soopers parking lot at 6:00-6:30 AM. Once everyone has arrived, we will decide who will drive (carpool) up to the lakes. Once we arrive at the lakes, we will meet at the clubhouse and get a briefing from Doug Swartz. Lunch including beverages will be provided and there will be mid-day at the Upper Pine Lake Inlet or at the club house depending on weather. Menu for lunch is Turkey or Ham sandwiches on Bolillo Rolls, spring salad for topping or sides (homemade dressings), home made coleslaw, chips, and a dessert item (cookies or brownies). Shortly after lunch we will be having hand crafted door prizes and a Tackle Swap. Crystal Lakes has 2 lakes, 5 smaller ponds, and a small stream. Veterans are usually paired with resident hosts who are familiar with the local fishing. There are Port-a-Let Facilities at each lake and pond.
Bring any necessary fishing equipment. Two lakes have float tube access; so if you would like to bring a float tube, feel free to bring it along on the trip. If you need to borrow equipment, please reach out to me or one of the trips leads a week or two before the event.
