Fly Tying

Beginning in the fall, we offer fly tying classes in Cheyenne, Laramie, Loveland, and Greeley.

Fly tying is an ancient tradition that has been passed down and adapted from friend to friend. We continue it from volunteer to veteran as we form new friendships. There is nothing quite like catching trout using an artificial fly of your own making.

Tiers of all abilities are welcome at all four locations. The Cheyenne group meets twice a week and we have three tying tables: one for beginning instruction, one for expert tiers, and new this year is a production table where we will have tools and materials so that you can tie multiples of your favorite flies to fill those fly boxes for the coming fishing season.
