Dates: July 25 – 29, 2023

Location: Dubois, WY. Elevation: 6,946 feet.

Lodging: Rustic cabins, all cabins house at least two, some cabins hold more. No handicap accessibility. We will be cooking our own meals – Platte Rivers Veterans Fly Fishing will provide Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, alcoholic beverages are not provided by the group.

The Fishery: All wade fishing in fast water, a possible side trip to a high lake one day. The fishing locations are not accessible for persons with significant mobility challenges. The wading can be slippery and very rocky in the streams and rivers. Waders, wading shoes, and a wading stick are recommended. Wet wading in the rivers and streams is also an option but not recommended for lake fishing. Targeted fish species include cuttthroat trout, rainbow trout and brown trout other fish in the system you may catch include whitefish is the streams and suckers in the lake.  Dry Fly recommendations include, Elk Hair Caddis, Purple Haze, Parachute Adams, and Hopper Patterns in the rivers and streams. For Lake fishing, leaches, prince nymph, and the beaded pheasant tail have proven effective in the past.
